This FAQ page contains lots of important stuff (see titles listed above).

I know this isnt the most interesting part of the site but it does need to be here so please take a bit of time to read through, especially the 'Legal' and 'Disclaimer' sections.

Shipping

We ship direct worldwide. Shipping costs are detailed below. We do not charge extra for shipping oveseas although the minimum shipping amount is slightly higher to account for airmail charges.

All overseas orders go out airmail. All UK orders go out first class.

As a general rule of thumb orders are filled within 24 hours of them arriving with us (providing it is not a weekend!). We ship at least twice weekly usually on a tuesday and a friday unless it is a release week when orders go out daily.

If Debbi is on annual leave then there may be a short delay but we try to get temporary cover whenever possible.

I aim to make sure all pre-orders go out on the day of release however if the figures arrive from the caster early then I will send them out early...........if you would prefer me to hold on to them for a few weeks then please just say!!

Shipping costs

We try to reuse packaging wherever possible but always aim to ship your order all protected and safely wrapped in either a box or copious quantities of bubblewrap.

After 4 price hikes by Royal Mail we have been forced to update our shipping costs from Monday 15th May 2006.

This is the first rise since we set the business up and is a decision that hasnt been taken lightly.

How we arrived at the new rates can be found here.

Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout and is 10% of order value with a minimum amount of £1.50 for Uk and EU, and £2.00 for non-EU. There is also an option at checkout to purchase insurance with your order. We always obtain a 'proof of posting' for all orders sent out. Unfortunately we can't afford to automatically replace orders that 'get lost'although we will do our best to track them down for you.

Paying for the little guys

Well you have a choice on how to pay for your fix of 'White Metal'

We accept all major credit cards which can either be processed online via our secure server or (if you arent happy to pay online) by you faxing a credit card authorisation to us. If you want to use the 'fax to Sally' option then please contact me for an order form.

Paypal is another option for which you can also use your credit card. Some people are sceptical of Paypal but it is entirely painless, very simple and safe.

If you have concerns about currency exchange, the credit card company will actually perform the currency conversion for you as you make the payment. So don't worry about it!

If you would like to see the prices of the figures converted into your national currency (no goats or camels are accepted unfortunately even though I quite like a bit of roast goat..........sorry I digress!...lol) then check out XE.com - The Universal Currency Converter®

UK customers can send in a cheque payable to 'Hasslefree Miniatures' to the snail mail address above. You can either write your order down or if you email me then I will send you an order form by return email. Please be aware that I will bank your cheque within a day of it arriving but it still takes 3 working days to clear before I can ship your order.

Legal

IP stands for "intellectual property." It's intellectual (as opposed to tangible/physical) because it deals with concepts and creations of the mind that cant actually be touched. Because it can be bought, sold and transferred from one person to another it can be deemed 'property'. It means that when Kev sculpts a model we can sell the physical object (the miniature itself) to one person AND still retain the right to reproduce it (the copyright).

If we want to protect our IP we have to tell you that everything on this site belongs to us. If you are made aware of this then the stealing of our IP is called 'THEFT'. In case you think that stealing another persons ideas is 'harmless', IT ISN'T. It is actually very naughty and although wouldnt make much of a dent in the profits of the big guys, in a small company like ours it could permanently damage if not destroy us. We work very hard to keep this company going (you can yawn at this point if you wish!) and are very protective of our ideas and Kevs sculpts. Please respect this.

If you want to use our images on your site all you have to do is ask. Provided that they are not going to be used for anything that would be derogatory or damaging to our business then there isnt usually a problem. When the image is used we expect you to credit us as the manufacturer and (in the case of a painted figure) the painter. We work very hard to get all of the images in this site online and updated frequently and all images, pages and text in this site are

Copyright Hasslefree Miniatures 2005.

In case you decide to nick the codings then I have to inform you that they all belong to 'the webmaster' and I dont think he will be too happy!

Disclaimer

Okay........here we go.

Please remember that our figures are hobby items and (although referred to as toys) ARE NOT TOYS and as such they arent suitable for kiddiewinks. By all means get your son/daughter hooked early but please supervise them to make sure that none of the hazards listed below can occur.

Our 'toys' are generally made from a white metal alloy which may or may not contain lead. Therefore it is not advisable to chew/ swallow/ ingest our figures. Some of the terrain pieces are made from resin, please dont eat this either.

Although we pride ourselves on the quality of our castings, as is the nature of the hobby some may need a bit of assembling or trimming. If you cut yourself with a sharp blade whilst undertaking any form of adaption to our figures then it isnt our fault (butterfingers!!). Likewise if you manage to superglue yourself to the figure/ table/ activator can then that isnt our fault either. If you let us know then I am sure we will be sympathetic (depending on whether we have had a good day or not!!)

Our website shows images of naked female and male sculptures both bare metal and painted. If you are at all offended by nudity then please be careful when browsing.

EU & UK Distance Selling Regulations

Of course we adhere to present regulations concerning Distance Selling. In case of any problems we expect you to contact us by mail, letter or fax within seven days after receiving the goods you ordered. In that case we will refund your money (at your cost) after you send the goodies back (at your cost). If you are really interested in the rules and regulations have a look EU here and UK here.

The FSB is Britain's biggest business organisation with 190,000 members. It exists to protect and promote the interests of the self-employed, and all those who run their own business. We have been members now since 2004. More information is available at the FSB website.
