Wow. How long has it been since my last blog entry? Ages, that's how long!

Things are going well now, sculpting-wise. In spite of sleepless nights and less actual work time I see to be getting more work done. Bonkers or what?

Of course this may have something to do with bloody Vista and "Windows Mail" still keeping me from reaching the outside world via email 95% of the time, meaning that I'm spending less and less time corresponding with friends and more time working. So I'll have no friends left soon, because they'll all think I'm ignoring them, but you'll all have loads of miniatures to buy. Swings and roundabouts, hey?

I'm currently working on a Post-Apoc Peter, a conversion of Katie in a gasmask, Elvis, a conversion of Miranda, "Hazel", Notdruss, Notconan and a portrait piece for a friend.

Speaking of which, I might be auctioning one of those off soon or making it a prize on the FoD. If I do, you'll be the first to know. Or possibly the second.

Work on the Darksword minis has stalled. I'm liking the way they're going, but things were starting to go wrong on them, so I've stopped work on them until I'm feeling less hamfisted and can do the subject material justice.

I'm on a "clear the decks" rampage at the moment. Miniatures that have stood, dusty and forgotten, on my desk for upwards of a year are getting a look-over once more. I want to clear as many corks as I can before I start on more new HF minis.

Miniatures that will get finished ASAP (honest) are: Harby, a couple or three Dwarves, a Grant variant, a human male fantasy RPG type warrior, not-Druss, not-Conan and another Kinky Chaosette homage.......

........and a new O-Grymn with a railgun.

Damn.

All plans go out of the window.

The Mad Max trilogy just landed on our doormat.

As you may or may not have already seen on the FoD, I've finished the policemen that I have been working on. Now I'm on to naked women! :-D

I've got two to finish off for Darksword and I might squeeze a third in by way of an apology to Jim because these two are late. Since I'm in the mood (and because I'll have the reference materials out anyway) I'll probably start on a couple of hotties for HF too.

Or I could make a Barbarian.

Or a female Barbarian.

Sod it. I'll do both.

I'll probably sneak in a Dwarf too.

And a Wereboar.

What's for breakfast?

"Hot Fuzz" has been on a steady loop on my PC for about a week now and I think I'm nearly all copped out.

Bladerunner is probably next. Although that's still about police, I suppose. Ho-hum. Beats working for a living :)

Today I finished a new female Dwarf called "Haela" and a new Zombie Hunter / Adventurer "PC Nick Bracket", so I'm guessing my sculptors block has gone slightly.

So it's just Nick's portly sidekick and the Riot Cop to finish off and then I'll be starting work on another version of Taxxis, this time with a two-handed sword. And since I'll be in a sculpting "skantily clad females frame" of mind I'll begin work on two miniatures for Darksword that I'd forgotten all about....... Sorry, Jim!

Right. Here goes my first Blog entry.

It's Friday the 22nd of June and Sally has persuaded me to put the Grymn Powered Armour down for a few weeks and get on with some real work for a change.

So, in amidst a semi-serious bout of sculpting block, there are a couple of film character homages on the corks and a riot cop miniature based on a friend of ours (a 6'4" individual who looks like a tank in his urban pacification gear). I'm trying to figure out how to justify giving him a big gun in addition to the baton he'd normally use. I might just sneak him an MP5 and hope nobody asks why.

Also on the corks is a female called "Morgan", a female in a mini skirt and tight top with Mad-Dog's axe....... but I'm not happy with how she is turning out at the mo. I seem to be getting a lot of that at the moment, I wish I could actually finish something and be happy with it.

Oh, and there's also "Haela", a little female Dwarf with an axe. But since she's a Dwarf she doesn't really count as "Work".

Pics of most of these minis should be online in the workbench section soon.
