Loyalty Cards

What are they?

They are a pretty piece of printed card wrapped in nice shiny laminated plastic that makes you feel special ( we hope!). They contain a unique reference number which identifies the holder on our database and they also show the members name. To make it a bit clearer there is a picture of one below.

How do I get one?

Loyalty cards began to be issued for the December 'bonus' time in 2007. They were present in goodie bags sent out to registered members of theForum of Doom on all orders over £20. 'Goodie bags' are sent out annually as a Christmas present to our customers during December 'bonus 'time.

What are they worth?

On presentation at any shows or conventions we personally attend, they offer the named member a 10% discount for all cash purchases on all items that HF sell. If the holder lives overseas or is UK based and unable to attend the show we offer that member a free figure for orders over £30, two free figures for orders over £60, three free figures for orders over £90 and so on, applying it to orders made during the week following the show. This works out at a 10% discount which is the same as the shows attendees but is easier for us to administrate than trying to alter shopping cart codings etc.

I missed the 'bonus time' what do I do?

Or you can visit us a a show. What we do do prior to a show is to allow 'pre-orders' . This means that you tell us by email what it is that you want to buy and we have it all packaged up for your collection at the show. If you are a member of the FOD and have placed a pre-order over £30 to collect from us personally at the show then let us know your member name when you order and we will have a Loyalty card waiting for you. If you pay cash for your pre-order then we can apply your Loyalty card immediately and give you 10% discount. YOU MUST tell us your FOD member name prior to the show so we can make sure you aren't telling porkie pies (rhyming slang for lies).

What if I am overseas or UK and a FOD
member but cant attend the show ?

Ahh well...........I suppose we had better not exclude you or you will get a bit annoyed with us. Okay then, order from us on the week of the show with an order over £30 and not only will you get your Loyalty card but we will apply it immediately so you get a free figure as well. Don't forget though that the extra figure only applies to the week following the show.

You mentioned 'Goodie bags' what are they?

They are a bag containing a variety of items from our range. Usually they are a random mix of stuff and can include figures that we have overstocked on, something from the 'Little bits' range (guns, head sprues, armatures etc), some waterslide decals, some etched brass, some sweeties (it wouldn't really be HF without sweeties would it?) and anything else we have lying around that we don't know what to do with but can't bear to throw away.

So how can I get one?

Wait until the next promotion, sorry. Sometimes if we have time before a show we make us some so that we can put goodie bags in with all of the purchases but generally they arrive at our summer 'bonus' time (July) and our Christmas 'bonus' time (obviously December).

So do you have lots of promotions throughout the year?

No, we have four kids and a huge mortgage as well as being victims of the UK Government small business policies, we couldnt afford to continually muck around with discounts...it would bankrupt us and that wouldn't be a good idea would it? We don't 'do sales' and we don't regularly discount items. We have two 'bonus times', one in July to celebrate my birthday which can be either a 'free shipping' deal or 'buy x get y free' deal and the other in December as a Christmas thankyou to all of our customers.
